“Relationships…it’s what Hollub Homes has been about for as long as I can remember,” says Harry. He should certainly know. Harry grew up on the job sites, accompanying his father from the time he was a toddler. By age 6, Harry planted grass on the job sites and at 13, he performed carpentry and tarred roofs. After receiving an MBA from the University of Miami and working for Ryder Systems as a Financial Analyst, he joined Hollub Homes full time in 1986 after obtaining his contractor’s license.
Harry’s passion for building has him constantly looking for new methods and materials to incorporate in his homes. However, it is his straight-forward approach which has made Hollub Homes the talk of the town.
Harry is credited with demystifying what can be an overwhelming process of building a home or renovation. His uncanny ability of connecting to his clients has made him a sought-after builder in the marketplace. That coupled with his unwavering demand for quality of workmanship has made Hollub Homes, as one customer says, “different than any other builder in the market!”
Harry is a near scratch golfer and an outstanding Ultimate Frisbee player.
executive vice-president, principal
Helene Hollub is the Executive Vice President, Principal of Hollub Homes, Inc. which is recognized as a premier building and design company of South Florida. She has been a leader in building and design for over 25 years. Hollub Homes reputation is second to none in the industry.
Helene’s designs have been featured in multiple publications such as Florida Design Magazine, Luxe and Kitchen and Bath Magazines and several television design shows including HGTV. She has won dozens of design awards including Best of Show twice (2006, 2013) for the South Florida Prism BEST Awards. She was named “Taste Maker” by the Onare kick-off party for the internationally renowned Art Basel Exposition.
With life as her palette of colors, Helene continues to design some of the most amazing custom home exteriors/interiors in South Florida. She attributes the need of overall continuity as the link to giving a homeowner a true sense of the inside and outside of their home “working together.” And to think, all of this started in 1986 with Helene going to job sites and coming away with what she says is a “slightly different perspective on how she would have done it.”
Well, soon enough she was doing it all. From design and construction supervision, Helene ensures that every minute detail of design is executed to perfection. Her perspective on design is not the norm. She knows that as “things evolve the classics remain the same.” This has given Helene the opportunity to use new technology while incorporating materials from around the world. This allows her to do what she does best, incorporate old with new and modern with eclectic. She loves working with mediums not normally sold together and combining non-traditional textures.
Helene is married to Raul Amores and together they have five children. An avid outdoors person, Helene captains her own yacht and loves the ocean.

(editor’s note: Since Marvin comprised most of the History section, we chose not to be repetitive, but did want to add to his bio.)
Marvin was a graduate from the University of Miami. He and Mimi have been married for 58 years and he spends time with his five grandchildren. Marvin’s a fitness buff who plays golf when his shoulder isn’t sore. And you can still see him on the job sites almost everyday, “just making sure everything is in order.”
