Lead-Safe EPA Certified company
Hollub Homes is proudly a Lead-Safe EPA Certified Renovation Company.
To protect against the health risks associated with lead base paint, the EPA issued the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. It requires that contractors performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes be certified by the EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices. On all homes that were built prior to 1978, we complete testing to verify if lead base paint is in the area where work will be performed. If lead base paint is found, special protection and containment of the work area needs to be done to protect the workers and our clients from lead base particles that can become airborne due to the work. Although it is a requirement for all contractors who work in homes that are older than 1978 to to be EPA approved, it is surprising to find out that most are not.
